Children’s Ministry

Children Watching Yoeli

Children, the 4-14 window, as they have been called, are a tremendously important demographic, and nowhere moreso than here in East Africa. We are currently in production on two television shows, Njia Njema (Paths of Peace) and Wewe Nami (You With Me), focusing on this demographic. Now the time has come for us to recruit a team of people who want to focus on Njia Njema long term – to create a never-ending flow of television and curriculum to disciple children.

The Goal:

We’re going to provide extensive discipleship materials for children, distributed nationally and internationally through television, and also via Sunday School and VBS / Seminar material wrapped around the base videos, to be utilized by churches across Tanzania and beyond.

The Method:

By creating a never-ending stream of videos with Sunday School and VBS materials to accompany them, we can tackle issues of Biblical literacy, basic character formation, Godly family values, emotional intelligence, and build a sense of identity – Christian and African – that is pleasing to God. We can do this especially well because there are so many groups working with children who are desperate for materials, and because there are so few materials out there available for children. Additionally, it has been shown time and time again that children who commit their lives to Christ walk with him all the days of their lives.

The Need:

In order to do this, we will need to recruit puppeteers, a director/videographer, a puppet-maker, an editor or two, and a person to focus on distribution of the material. That means we’re recruiting 5-6 people. We will also need a support base to enable us to create an appropriate studio space, to build housing for the staff involved, and to purchase cameras, build puppets, and maintain our editing ability.

Next Steps:

This is where you come in. We want to start producing episodes of Njia Njema (Paths of Peace) as soon as 2017. But in order to do that, we need you to help us with recruiting and fundraising.

Give A designated donation to our children’s ministry program will go a long way to helping us get started with the people, studio space, and equipment we need.
